In 2008 we set out with a simple goal: to build the first serially produced American watch using as many U.S. made components as possible. The result became the first American watch in almost 40 years. The Spirit of America became Kobold's answer to the practice of shipping American manufacturing jobs overseas. In the process, we kicked off the renaissance of American watchmaking. 

Today, the Spirit of America is produced both in the U.S. and in Berlin, Germany - the city most synonymous with freedom, democracy and triumph over adversity.

The Spirit of America arrives on a genuine calfskin strap or a natural rubber strap and is available with an Arctic Blue or Deep Black dial.

The watch is covered by a 10-year warranty against material defects and inferior workmanship.
