Kobold Cabriolet

Originally designed in the late 1920s, the reversible case of the Kobold Cabriolet is a true horological novelty. Updated and patented by Kobold founding father and master watchmaker Gerd-Ruediger Lang in the early 1990s, this case features a mechanism that allows the wearer to flip the case around 180 degrees, thus exposing the screw-locked caseback while hiding the delicate front of the watch, with its sapphire crystal and Art Deco style solid silver or lacquered dial. 

The improved version of this iconic convertible timepiece features a water-resistant design, making the Kobold Cabriolet a true sports watch. Its case is by far the costliest in Kobold Watch history and we're naturally very proud that a patent for its unique design is pending.

Powered by a high precision Swiss Made automatic movement or a Swiss quartz movement, the Kobold Cabriolet is available from November 2025.
