Kobold Limits
In 2026, Kobold endeavors to once again bring back U.S. watch manufacturing in its hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This includes producing watch cases in-house using modern CNC technology. To raise capital for this project, Kobold is unveiling a number of extremely competitively priced timepieces.
In 2008, Kobold launched the first U.S.-made timepiece in over 39 years when it unveiled the Kobold Spirit of America, featuring a case entirely made in USA, in the process catapulting Kobold to the forefront of U.S. watch manufacturing. In 2014, Kobold built on this success by becoming the first U.S. watch brand in generations to produce its cases in-house. Following a number of calamities that severely affected the operations of Kobold USA, the CNC shop was shuttered. After a new team was assembled, the brand began the rebuilding effort. Now it is time to firmly re-establish Kobold as the leader in U.S. watch manufacturing.
The new Kobold Limits timepiece features a 42.5-mm case in the post-modern style. It is equipped with an internal rotating bezel that is operated via a screw-down crown. A second screw-down crown enables the wearer to set the time.
The Kobold Limits arrives on a natural rubber strap with screw-locked, signed buckle. A leather Kobold travel pouch completes the ensemble.
The watch is covered by a 10-year warranty against material defects and inferior workmanship.
Kobold could not have been rebuilt so fast without the support of loyal Koboldians, which is why the Kobold Limits starts at only $1,250 for those customers who have previously purchased a Kobold watch from Kobold or an official retailer. New customers may also purchase the Kobold Limits at a reduced price, starting at $1,650.
The Kobold Limits starts shipping in mid-February 2026.
