Recently bought a used kobold and am interested in finding out more.. do the KD's relate to certain models, time frames, movements, etc?

Eric, the KD number between the lugs is the reference number for the watch. It refers to the model, movement, case and function. The number on the other side of the case (also between the lugs) is the unit number.
